Severe Weather
When severe weather makes travel dangerous, driver license offices will close. We will post closures on this page. You may also follow us @TxDPS on Twitter for updates.
Because weather conditions change quickly, it is not always possible to post every closure. Please call the driver license office first if severe weather affects your area. The Texas Department of Transportation’s highway conditions map can help you assess road conditions.
Office Closings for Tuesday, February 26
In continuation of the winter weather event and hazardous road conditions, DPS offices in the following counties are approved for closure:
- Amarillo
- Borger
- Hereford
- Pampa
In continuation of the winter weather event and unsafe travel conditions, DPS offices in the following counties are approved for a delayed opening until 10:00 AM:
- Plainview
- Littlefield
- Muleshoe
In continuation of the winter weather event and unsafe travel conditions, DPS offices in the following counties are approved for a delayed opening until 9:00 AM:
- Childress
Unless the bad weather persists, we expect these offices to reopen tomorrow 2/27.
