CAPTURE DETAILS: Cody GUZMAN, a wanted high-risk sex offender, was added to the Texas Most Wanted Sex Offenders list on January 5, 2012. He was wanted by the McLennan County Sherff's Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and by the Coryell County Sheriff's Office for Probation Violation (Original Offense: Failure to Register as a Sex Offender).

Shortly after GUZMAN was added to the Texas Most Wanted List, a tip was received on a possible location. After months of following leads, law enforcement determined that GUZMAN may be residing outside Texas, possibly at a trailer park in Rock County, Wisconsin. The DPS Criminal Investigations agent assigned to the US Marshals task force contacted the US Marshals in Wisconsin and had them dispatched to the address, where they found GUZMAN. GUZMAN was taken into custody and will face additional federal charges for Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

A $3,000 cash reward will be paid to the anonymous tipster through Texas Crime Stoppers because the information provided ultimately led to Guzman’s location.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:
• Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) • Text the letters "DPS"- followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) • Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App
All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
Callers’ anonymity is guaranteed by law and you could earn up to the CASH REWARD amount listed for each fugitive.
These fugitives should be considered Armed and Dangerous! Never try to apprehend a fugitive yourself.
