CAPTURE DETAILS: Dallas Wayne WADDELL, added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list in 2010, was detained on August 21, 2014, by Mexican Federal Police, in the state of Durango in Mexico. Efforts to apprehend WADDELL were coordinated by Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and the U.S. Marshals Service.

In June 2014, WADDELL was removed from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list on the website, but was still considered a Texas Most Wanted fugitive with a reward of up to $3,000.

WADDELL had eluded law enforcement authorities in Texas for nearly 10 years, after he absconded from the Waco, Texas area in 2005. In 1993, he was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault from an incident involving a 13-year-old female in Hamilton County. He had multiple warrants out of Hill County, and was also wanted for parole violation by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.

On August 22, 2014, WADDELL was deported from Mexico and flown to Texas where he was taken into custody.

The arrest was the result of tip information received and a reward will be paid.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:
• Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) • Text the letters "DPS"- followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) • Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App
All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
Callers’ anonymity is guaranteed by law and you could earn up to the CASH REWARD amount listed for each fugitive.
These fugitives should be considered Armed and Dangerous! Never try to apprehend a fugitive yourself.
