Details: On July 6, Javier CORTEZ Jr, a Tango Blast gang member was returned to the US Brownsville & Matamoros Bridge Point of Entry. CORTEZ, the subject of a Homicide warrant issued by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in 2010 and a subsequent FBI warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution, was apprehended by Mexican authorities and turned over to CBP officers and HSI agents at the middle of the B & M Bridge. CORTEZ was processed and then released to awaiting US Marshals for transfer to Harris County.
