On December 16, 2014, Jeffrey Noe ORTIZ, a violent, high-risk Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender was taken into custody without incident at a residence in Dallas, Texas, by the US Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division, and Dallas PD.
ORTIZ was wanted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Probation Violation (Original Offense: Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Possession of a controlled substance), and for Failure to Appear.
In 2004, ORTIZ was sentenced to three years in TDCJ prison for Possession of Child Pornography and Sexual Assault of a Child. He was released in 2007 after serving his sentence and was required to register annually as a sex offender. In 2011, he was convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was given four years' probation.
Tips are currently being reviewed to determine reward eligibility.
