Education

Texas Extension Disaster Education (EDEN) Texas Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) is a collaborative educational network dedicated to educating citizens about disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Texas EDEN is a joint effort between the Texas Cooperative Extension and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and is affiliated with National EDEN.
The Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center (HRRC) was established at Texas A&M University in 1988. The center engages in research on hazard mitigation, disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. The staff of the HRRC is interdisciplinary in nature and includes the expertise of architects, engineers, geographers, psychologists, and sociologists.

Texas Gulf Coast Emergency Management Association. The Texas Gulf Coast Emergency Management Association is a regional organization dedicated to saving lives and protecting property during times of emergency and disasters.
The International Association of Emergency Managers The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting the goals of saving lives and protecting property during emergencies and disasters.

Hurricane Research.This is the home of world-famous hurricane researcher Dr. William Gray. Find out about his predictions for the next hurricane season. (Note that Colorado State University has never been in the path of a hurricane - good planning.)
Hurricane City provides semi-live video of various coastal spots until the camera gets blown down. Good good-weather viewing also.
