Education
- Texas Extension Disaster Education (EDEN) Texas Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) is a collaborative educational network dedicated to educating citizens about disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Texas EDEN is a joint effort between the Texas Cooperative Extension and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and is affiliated with National EDEN.
- The Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center (HRRC) was established at Texas A&M University in 1988. The center engages in research on hazard mitigation, disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. The staff of the HRRC is interdisciplinary in nature and includes the expertise of architects, engineers, geographers, psychologists, and sociologists.
