Drought Emergency Planning Workshops
All across the state, local citizens, public officials and representatives with various utility organizations are meeting to discuss ways to address water supply shortages and prevent future shortages. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is hosting drought emergency planning workshops throughout the state. The workshops will provide local government officials, board members, and their water system operators information and tools to prevent and mitigate water outages.
Workshop presentation topics will include:
Representatives from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Division of Emergency Management, Texas Water Development Board, the Texas Water Infrastructure Coordination Committee, local river authorities, and the local Ground Water Conservation Districts will be available to provide additional information at booths following the presentations.
