Reward Offered for Dangerous High Risk Sex Offender Escapee

Civil Commitment Sex Offender Flees Houston Facility Early This Morning
AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added John Michael Enard, 58, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list, and a $3,000 cash reward is now offered for information leading to his capture. Enard removed his ankle monitor early this morning and fled from a Houston halfway house. He is considered a sexually violent predator and at high risk to reoffend. All tips can be offered anonymously.

Enardís criminal history includes multiple sexual assaults, and he has threatened to rape again. He has family in Houston and Lafayette, Louisiana. There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governorís Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives; they are considered armed and dangerous.
