As required by Section 21.010 of the Texas Labor Code, all new employees must receive EEO training within the first 30 days of employment with the agency. DPS Headquarters employees will receive the EEO training during new-hire orientation. This computer-based training course is provided to all new employees hired in locations outside of the Headquarters complex. New employees taking the computer-based training course must complete the training and follow the instructions at the end of the course regarding submission of documentation certifying completion of the training. Completion of this training module is also required of all agency employees, including Headquarters employees, every other year as a REFRESHER course. All employees will be notified by the EEO Officer when the EEO training is required as a refresher and given specific timelines and instructions for completing it.
