Keeping vehicles safe on Texas roadways...
- Texas registered vehicles are required to receive an annual inspection.
- The vehicle inspection includes a comprehensive safety inspection to ensure basic road worthiness.
- Vehicles in seventeen (17) Texas counties classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as being in non-attainment status are required to have an emissions test in addition to the safety inspection
